A New Culinary Experience

Korea loves Spam.

Yes, that canned meat that they used at youth events to make kids throw up(well, they did at mine anyway).

Literally, there is an entire aisle at the grocery store dedicated to canned meat: basically just Spam and tuna. Around Korean Thanksgiving you could buy gift sets of cooking oils, beauty products or Spam. Yes, a fancy box of about a dozen little cans of Spam. Another foreign teacher at our school informed us that there is a legitimate, rational reason behind this love (if you're interested, I'll tell you about it sometime), but as someone who never even tasted Spam until that ill-fated youth event, it's a love I cannot understand.

Today, we had Spam soup at school: soup broth, some veggies, slimy thick noodles and slices of Spam. The funny part about it was that it wasn't that bad...
