Our New Apartment

So we have been back in Canada for just over a month and in our new apartment/home for just over three weeks. In some ways there have been some adjustments we've had to make and in other ways it feels like we never really left. There have been really good days surrounded by family and friends and there have been hard days, trying to re-find our place in life in Abbotsford. We are really excited about our apartment. We moved into a brand new building and here a few pictures of what it looks like:

Ties our three main living spaces together.

We have a dryer!!!

Kitchen with all new appliances.

Our dining area.

Living room with Ikea couches!

Our bedroom. Thanks, Dad for making the frame!

Our in-suite bathroom.

There is also a smaller spare bedroom, a second bathroom and a small outdoor patio.

This apartment is a lot bigger than both of our apartments in Korea put together. Sometimes it feels like too much space and sometimes we almost even feel guilty for having so much extra space. But we have to remind ourselves this is Canada, we are not in Korea anymore.

*One of the perks of our contract in Korea was that the school paid our rent each month...and now we have to pay rent again...I guess it's time to wake up and remember what life in the real world is like...
