Merry Christmas!

Our Christmas this year came and went so fast. We worked on the 24th of December until 6:00 and then went back to work again on the 26th at 9 am. Sometimes we miss the college days when we got a good three weeks off for Christmas.

However, we were able to make the most of things and enjoy several fun aspects of Christmas as per usual. We managed to watch several holiday flicks: Elf, The Holiday, The Santa Clause and National Lampoon's Christmas. We also spent several evenings drinking hot chocolate and listening to Christmas music. This year Michael Buble was our favorite.

On Christmas Eve, we played some games together, read an account of the Christmas story and then opened small gifts we had prepared for each other.
Showing off another Christmas tradition.

On Christmas morning we skyped with both of our lovely families and although we miss them (especially at this time of year), we are thankful that the Internet makes them seem less far away.

For Christmas dinner, we got together with our small group. We feasted together (carrying on the tradition of slightly over-eating). We had a white elephant gift exchange and played a monopoly card game. We were really thankful for this time with our small group and it made Christmas feel more normal and special!

We just got home from a week in the Philippines visiting our dear friends. We'll post some stories and pictures soon!
