A couple big highlights for me in the last few weeks have been 1) Winning the CBHK (Canada Ball Hockey Korea) league championships and 2) Playing a mini Christmas concert at Yoger Presso.
I had a lot of fun this fall playing in this hockey league. We played every Sunday for 3 and a half months. Throughout the season we were often missing a couple guys for each game. By the time play-offs came around, everyone was coming out and we were able to establish solid lines and team chemistry. The final was the biggest highlight as it was snowing hard the entire game. It felt just like being at home in Canada. The playing surface was quite slippery and, especially at the start of the game, people we sliding all over the place. Our team won 5-1 and 5-2 and got to celebrate later that evening at the season ending dinner/award ceremony. It was great to play with such a great group of guys!

This past Friday, my co-worker and friend, Ryan and I played a mini Christmas concert at our favorite local coffee shop. Every Wednesday for the last few months has been designated as Yoger Presso Wednesdays and the foreign teachers at our school take a break in the afternoon and get some specialty drinks. We had talked of the idea of a mini concert with the owner and she was very excited about it. The last couple of weeks Ryan and I chose a song list and practiced together in preparation for this event. We played for about an hour, customers came and went (even a few of my students and their mothers came in) and a good time was had by all. Our biggest fans were definitely the owners' family (husband, wife and two kids) and of course, Karmen, Rachael and Dana. Fun times!
